FAQs on Fabric Innerduct Solutions

1. What exactly is Fabric Innerduct, and why is it better than rigid HDPE?

Fabric Innerduct is a flexible, multi-celled textile sleeve made from high-tenacity, low-friction synthetic yarns (typically polyester and nylon).

The Advantage: Unlike traditional round, rigid HDPE pipes, fabric innerduct is flexible. It conforms to the shape of the cables inside and the conduit itself. This eliminates “dead space” (stranded capacity), allowing you to fit up to three times more cables in the same conduit. It also features integrated pull tapes and a lubricated surface to reduce pulling tension by over 50%.

2. What is your production capacity and lead time?

We understand that industrial projects operate on tight schedules.

Lead Time: Because of our high daily output, we can fulfill even large-scale orders with industry-leading speed. Small to medium orders are often ready for dispatch within 48–72 hours, while bulk project orders are scheduled for rapid continuous delivery to keep your crews moving.

Daily Output: We maintain a robust manufacturing infrastructure with a production capacity of 20,000 meters per day.

3. Can I get a sample before placing a bulk order?

Yes. We provide free samples to qualified professional customers, including Project Support Associates and Electrical Contractors. We believe the best way to understand the flexibility and durability of our textile solution is to handle it yourself.

What’s included: Our sample kits typically include various cell configurations (1-cell, 2-cell, 3-cell) and different material ratings (OSP or Riser/Plenum) so you can test the fit and pull-tape strength.

4. What sizes and configurations are available?

We offer a comprehensive range of sizes to fit almost any conduit environment:

Plenum Rated: For air-handling spaces (highest smoke and flame safety).

Conduit Sizes: Standard diameters for 2-inch, 3-inch, and 4-inch conduits (custom sizes available upon request).

Cell Configurations: Available in 1-Cell, 2-Cell, and 3-Cell designs.

Environment Ratings:

OSP (Outside Plant): For underground and direct-bury applications.

Riser Rated: For vertical shafts (UL-certified fire resistance).

5. Can Fabric Innerduct be installed in a conduit that already has cables?

Absolutely. This is one of the biggest reasons contractors choose our product. Because the fabric is flexible, it can be installed as an “Overlay” in conduits that are already partially occupied by a legacy cable. It “snakes” through the available gaps, turning a “full” pipe into multiple new, organized pathways without the need for expensive new trenching or drilling.

6. How does it handle long-distance pulls and tension?

Our fabric innerduct is designed for high-performance deployment:

Reduced Friction: The specialized weave acts as a permanent lubricant. This prevents “burn-through” (where a moving cable melts a plastic pipe) and ensures that the tension remains well within the safe limits for fragile fiber optic glass.

Pull Tapes: Every cell comes with a factory-installed, color-coded pull tape (rated up to 1250 lbs or more) to ensure easy cable installation.
